![]() ![]() These sessions do not take place in a colloquium-like fashion in which a supervisor– supervisee structure is presupposed. In regularly held meetings presenters at various stages of their academic careers express their thoughts or parts of their ongoing work in an informal manner while participants have an afternoon meal together. These “Brown Bag sessions” are envisaged as a kind of research laboratory. In order to answer this need, the QDFCT proposed a different format of presentations during the Winter Semester 2017/18 than that of “lectures” in which presenters are usually invested with an aura of authority about their given topics and are also expected to provide clearly articulated conclusions. ![]() The high rate of student participation confirmed that there is a need for spaces in which these issues can be critically assessed and further explored. The lectures addressed a series of topics related to new and constantly evolving feminisms and queer studies in conjunction with decolonial critique.
